Finding a show we both enjoy? That’s not always easy.
Tamekia still loves her solo reality TV lineup—Basketball Wives, The Bachelor, and those classics that Patrick just can’t do. But every now and then, we find something we’re both into. Whether it’s a little drama, competition, suspense, or straight-up silliness, these are the best shows for couples in 2025—at least from our couch.
Here’s what made the cut this year.
5. The Million Dollar Secret (Netflix)
We almost didn’t watch this one. The trailer looked like it was going to be cheesy or fake—but it turned out to be one of the most fun shows we’ve watched all year. It had twists, secret missions, and enough back-and-forth strategy to keep us fully locked in. We had to force ourselves to stop bingeing. (Tamekia knocked out early, or we probably would’ve watched the whole thing that first night.) Highly recommend as a couple’s pick if you want something light but clever.
4. Rock the Block (HGTV)
This one’s a chill favorite. We’ve watched it for years. It’s fun to see what designers come up with, pick our favorites, and maybe steal some home inspiration. It’s not the kind of show we rearrange our schedule for, but when it’s on—we’re watching. A solid pick for couples who want something easy to unwind with.
3. Love Is Blind (Netflix)
This one goes way back to the pandemic days. We got hooked when it first came out, and we still keep watching new seasons—though they’re hit or miss now. The early concept (blind dating without looks being a factor) felt fresh and fair. Lately, it seems like a few cast members are there more for Instagram followers than real connection, but it still stands out as one of the better dating shows. Definitely one of the best shows for couples looking for something reality-based without being trashy.
2. Farmer Wants a Wife (Fox)
We were surprised by how much we liked this one. With four farmers and their own stories, the pace moves fast, and there’s a lot less over-the-top drama. Most people on the show seem serious about finding something real—not just chasing attention. It’s sweet, simple, and feels a bit more grounded than other dating shows. Definitely one we’ll keep watching as new seasons come out.
1. Paradise (Hulu)
Even though a lot of it is predictable, Paradise was still our top pick this year. The concept—a destroyed world and a secret society rebuilt in a massive underground cave—is wild enough to pull you in, and the story keeps you curious. It’s not edge-of-your-seat suspense, but it’s just well done. Each episode had us ready to see what would happen next, even if we saw some of it coming. Easily the show we looked forward to the most—and definitely earns its spot as the best show for couples in 2025 (at least for us).
Honorable Mentions
-
The Righteous Gemstones (HBO): Seasons 1–3 had us laughing so hard and quoting it nonstop and easily would be on the top of the list. This year’s season didn’t land the same. Still had moments—especially the monkey bit—but overall felt like it was stretching for ideas. Uncle Baby Billy didn’t bring the same punch either.
-
Tulsa King (Paramount+): Sly Stallone as a mob boss building a new life out in the sticks? Yes. A fun mix of action and charm.
-
Lioness (Paramount+): Season 1 was stronger than Season 2, but still a decent pick if you’re into special ops and strong performances (this season was a little too much though).
Whether you’re looking for something funny, real, or just plain different, these are the best shows for couples in 2025 that worked for us. Got a favorite we missed? Let us know—we’re always looking for our next watch.
