We recently embarked on our first journey to Europe, a thrilling adventure for both Tamekia and Patrick (although Patrick had briefly visited Western Europe long ago). This trip was filled with memorable experiences, which weโ€™ve captured in our travel videos.

Our European sojourn began with a conference at Europa Park in Germany. The nearest airport was in Zurich, Switzerland, setting the stage for our adventure. We seized the opportunity to explore Zurich before heading to Germany. The city was a highlight for Tamekia, who found it absolutely captivating.

For Patrick, navigating a European city was a new challenge. Zurich’s bustling streets, unique traffic patterns, and compact roads were a stark contrast to what he was used to, and it slightly diminished his enjoyment.

Our hotel experience in Zurich was less than ideal. Arriving late at 8:00 PM, we were surprised to find the hotel doors locked, a situation we werenโ€™t accustomed to.

The drive to Germany was straightforward, reminiscent of traveling from Arizona to Californiaโ€”simple border controls where you might be randomly asked to inspect your car.

The hotel near Europa Park, costing less than $100 a night, appeared unassuming from the outside and similarly modest inside. However, the rooms, albeit small, were functional and definitely offered good value.

Our trip also included a quick jaunt to France, and we’re excited to share more about that part of our journey soon.
